Researcher Pages is run by Global Science Analytics. This page says what we keep, where it comes from and how to have it removed.

Researchers

Public records. A site is built from public records: your ORCID record, publishers’ records at Crossref, OpenAlex and the Research Organization Registry (ROR).
What you add. Everything you write or upload (text, links, photo, CV settings) is kept apart from those records, so an update never overwrites it.
Email sign-up. We keep your email address and the pages we checked to confirm it is yours. Your site stays visible only to you until that check passes.
Drafts. A site is private until you publish it. Only published sites are shown to visitors and listed under All Sites.
AI model. When you import an old site, when we look for your current website, or when we look for a page that confirms your email, your name and the text of those pages are sent to an AI model provider (OpenAI) to be sorted or searched. Nothing is added to your site until you approve it.
Email. Sign-in links and messages about your sign-up are sent through Resend.

We set no cookies on researchers’ sites and use no third-party trackers or advertising.
To count visitors, we keep a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so a visit can be counted once per day but not followed from one day to the next. Your IP address itself is never stored.
A site’s owner sees totals only: visits, the pages and papers opened, which sites visitors came from, and their country.

Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used for anything else.

Owners can take their site down at any time under Edit › Profile › Remove Your Site.
A page built before its owner signed up has a removal link at the bottom, which anyone acting for that person can use.
